To request your first nutrition session, please follow the steps below. Once we receive your request, we will get in touch with you to discuss the next steps.

Email our office copies of both sides of your insurance card and driver’s license or state identification card to hello@betternutritionpartners.com. This information will be used to verify your insurance coverage for nutrition counseling sessions.

Understanding Your Coverage:
(1) You will be required to submit a physician referral form. As a courtesy we reach out to your physician office for a referral. Please note a referral does not automatically ensure insurance coverage.
(2) You will be required verify your insurance coverage for nutrition counseling services. As a courtesy, we will contact your insurance provider to verify your benefits and provide you with details such as the number of covered sessions, co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles. However, if you would like to verify coverage yourself or have any questions regarding your insurance coverage, please contact your insurance provider directly.
(3) The cost of a nutrition counseling session is $179 if it’s not covered by insurance

Typically, we’ll reach out within 72 hours from the moment we receive your nutrition counseling new patient form (on business days).
Before scheduling your first nutrition session, we need to verify your insurance coverage and reach out to your primary care physician for a referral. This process may take up to 14 days.
As a courtesy, Vanessa Avila, MS, RD, verifies your insurance coverage and provides you with a Verification of Benefits form, detailing the nutrition coverage for your specific insurance policy, including the number of visits and your financial responsibility for co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles. However, it is your responsibility to verify this information as you will be financially responsible for the session if insurance does not cover.
If your insurance does not cover the nutrition session, you are responsible for the session cost of $179 per session.
To properly submit an insurance claim, in some cases, I need to use diagnosis codes that only a physician can provide.
